Why divers order from Diving Mask.
We are not a reseller. The lenses for your mask are made in our own workshop — ground, centred and bonded by hand.
Our own workshop in Germany
We grind the prescription lenses ourselves, centre them to your pupillary distance and bond them into the mask watertight.
5-year warranty on the bonding
The joint between lens and mask is the critical point. That is where we give you five years of warranty.
Fit guarantee
If the mask does not sit right, we help. For every model we say in advance whether it suits narrower or wider faces.
Centred to your pupillary distance
You only see sharply through the optical centre of the lens. Centring decides your vision, not the size of the lens.
Made in 16 to 24 working days
Handwork takes time. Before despatch we check every mask for watertightness and optical clarity.
Single vision from 240 euros
Single vision 240 euros, bifocal 480 euros, progressive 580 euros — per pair. Index 1.60 adds 60 euros, index 1.70 adds 100 euros.
Everything for clear sight underwater.
Dive masks, snorkel masks, swimming goggles and freediving masks — on request with lenses ground to your prescription.
Step 1From a round blank to a mask lens.
Every lens starts as a round blank. We grind it in our workshop to the shape of your mask — contour, curvature and edges to suit the model.
- Lenses from our own workshop in Germany
- Prescriptions from +8.00 to −12.00 dioptres in 0.25 steps
- Single vision, bifocal and progressive available
Step 2Centred to your pupillary distance.
You only see sharply through the optical centre of the lens. That is why we centre every lens to your pupillary distance. This centring decides your vision — not the size of the lens.
If you do not know your values, send us your glasses. We read them off.
- Centred to your pupillary distance (PD)
- The values from your everyday glasses are enough
- Made exactly to the values you send us
Step 3Bonded watertight, then checked.
We set the lenses into the silicone frame and bond them watertight. Once cured, every mask is checked for watertightness and optical clarity.
- 5-year warranty on the bonding
- Watertightness and sight check before despatch
- Made in 16 to 24 working days
- Fit guarantee: we help if the mask does not sit right
Original masks from the brands, prescription lenses from our own workshop.
SEAC, Mares, Cressi, TUSA, Scubapro, Oceanic, Atomic Aquatics and Poseidon — the prescription lenses are ground, centred and bonded by us, in our workshop in Germany.
All brands named are the property of their respective manufacturers. They are named to identify the original goods.
What divers ask us most often.
If something stays open, write to us. You get an answer from someone who glazes the masks themselves.
Your question is not here?
We advise you personally on prescriptions, fit and glazing.
Monday to Friday, 10 am to 3 pm
Which prescription values do you need from me?
The values of your current glasses are enough. They are on your prescription, your optician's receipt or the invoice from your last pair.
We also need your pupillary distance (PD) — either as a total, for example 64 mm, or per eye, for example R 32 mm and L 31 mm.
Which mask suits me?
You can choose between dive masks, snorkel masks and freediving masks. They differ in purpose and sealing behaviour. A mask placed on the face should hold by suction alone.
For every mask we state whether it suits narrower or wider faces. Thanks to the high-grade silicone, many models sit well on very different face shapes. Classic all-rounders are the Mares X-Vision and the TUSA CEOS. For teenagers there are freediving masks with a smaller internal volume.
How long does delivery take?
We ship worldwide. Transit time depends on the carrier.
A mask with prescription lenses usually takes 16 to 24 working days. We make them by hand to fixed quality and safety standards. If a mask does not meet them, we make it again — hence the longer time. If you are in a hurry, choose express production in the cart.
Where do I find my prescription values?
On your prescription or on your optician's invoice.
If you cannot find the values, send us your glasses. We read them off.
How is a prescription dive mask made?
We make every lens individually to your prescription and your centring, set it into the silicone frame and bond it watertight with a special adhesive.
Once cured, every mask is checked for watertightness and optical clarity.
Can I return my mask?
Every prescription mask is a custom-made item. That is why we look at each request individually.
Write to us and tell us what it is about. We always look for a solution.
